As we approach the end of the long journey of our Give a Chance Project participants, we are holding a Final Meeting in Gaziantep, Turkey, where we evaluate the project processes Our Final Evaluation Meeting, which we held with the participation of 10 young people from EU-MED countries (MOROCCO, TUNISIA, SPAIN and TURKEY) and 2 mentors from each country, was held as follows:
Day 1:
Our participants started the day with the presentation, program and training contents of the Final Evaluation Meeting, which is the last session of our project with young people After the “Fear & Expectations” session, where they shared their expectations and questions, fun introduction and energizer games were played for young people from different countries to get to know each other and break the ice between them
Interactive activities such as the drawing activity and the “Find the Leader” game strengthened the interaction within the group In the second half of the day, each country group worked on reports where they evaluated the impact of their projects.
Day 2:
We had an energetic start to the day again! First, we reviewed the impact assessment reports prepared the previous day together and completed the deficiencies Then, we moved on to the “fundraising” session, which aims to create financial resources for the projects
The participants researched the funding institutions in their own countries and prepared detailed lists In the afternoon, each group developed a sustainability plan to ensure the sustainability of the projects At the same time, the “dissemination tracker” was filled out to monitor social media posts and “procurement reports” were completed for the materials used in the projects.
As the Give a Chance project nears its conclusion, we gathered in Gaziantep, Turkey, for the Final Evaluation Meeting. This important milestone brought together 10 young participants from EU-MED countries (Morocco, Tunisia, Spain, and Turkey) alongside two mentors from each country. The meeting was designed to assess the project’s processes, reflect on its impact, and provide participants with final opportunities to consolidate their learning and strengthen their initiatives.
Day 1 began with a presentation of the programme and the training contents of the Final Evaluation Meeting, setting the tone for the sessions ahead. Participants engaged in the “Fear & Expectations” exercise, where they openly shared their thoughts and questions about the final stage of the project. To create a friendly and collaborative atmosphere, a series of introduction and energizer games were facilitated, helping participants from different cultural backgrounds to connect and overcome initial barriers. Activities such as the drawing workshop and the “Find the Leader” game encouraged teamwork, creativity, and mutual trust. In the afternoon, each country group dedicated time to preparing evaluation reports that measured the impact of their respective projects.
Day 2 was equally dynamic. The day started with a collective review of the impact assessment reports prepared the previous day, allowing groups to complete missing elements and refine their findings. This was followed by a dedicated session on fundraising, focusing on strategies to generate financial resources for youth-led projects. Each national group identified funding institutions in their home countries and compiled detailed lists to serve as a resource for future efforts.
In the afternoon, participants worked on developing sustainability plans aimed at ensuring the continuity of their projects beyond the project’s official duration. These plans served as practical roadmaps for maintaining the momentum of their initiatives and enhancing their long-term impact. At the same time, participants completed the “dissemination tracker,” ensuring that the outcomes and good practices of the project would be effectively shared with wider audiences.
The Final Evaluation Meeting in Gaziantep served not only as a closing event but also as an opportunity to equip young changemakers with tools, knowledge, and confidence to carry their projects forward. It was a strong reminder of the transformative power of international collaboration, peer learning, and sustained support for youth entrepreneurship.
